To say I'm new at genealogy is to brag about skills I don't have. I had no idea how fast facts about relatives could accumulate. Consequently, I have 'facts' but not much skill yet at organizing them. Please bear with me. This page and its links have to do with my paternal grandfather James Arley Powers. At the same time and in a different place, I'm working on information about my paternal grandmother, Ida Mae Johnson. These pages are for my own information and entertainment. I'm not a trained genealogist by any stretch of anyone's imagination, which will be obvious when you enter these pages.
